Friends & Neighbors: The ‘death’ of our little playground is something I’m sure we all expected to happen at some point, but it was still a surprise. The Town had no option after being given a highly critical report by an outside evaluator. I was terrifically impressed with just how quickly the Selectmen’s office responded with a plan, but the financing is on us. This playground holds deep and enduring memories for me, my children and now my grandchildren. I’ve already made my contribution to the gift fund, I hope you’ll join me. While I’m sure other options are available, my hope is that we can fund this plan quickly and begin to enjoy it soon. If we were to wait for Town funding, we would need to wait until the 2018 funding cycle, something I’m not wiling to do. This is a neighborhood asset, and I hope we join hands and get it done.
I also hope you’ll help me get the word out to our friends and neighbors. Lisa Tonon is already ‘on it.' Thanks, Lisa! I’m sure there will be questions. I’ve got at least some of the answers. 781-749-5755 or 781-856-5358. Thanks, Mark Cullings
